Quantrix Modeler helps Civitium develop winning $33 million ARRA grant proposal for federal stimulus funds; award announced in person by Vice President Joe Biden
PORTLAND, ME – December 17, 2009 – Quantrix announces that its partner – Civitium LLC, the leading management and technology consulting firm for broadband infrastructure planning – developed a winning $33 million proposal for federal broadband stimulus funds for the North Georgia Network Cooperative (NGN). Civitium developed the proposal under the direction of the Development Authority of Lumpkin County, GA, using Quantrix Modeler, a business modeling and analytics (BMA) software solution, which enabled it to implement a financial planning model that significantly reduced the amount of time required to develop the comprehensive proposal. The award is part of the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA), and was announced today by Vice President Joe Biden in Dawsonville, GA. NGN will use the funds to develop a next-generation broadband network.
“Quantrix Modeler is a powerful, yet easy-to-use tool that played significantly in our ability to develop a winning proposal for NGN,” says Greg Richardson, Managing Partner, Civitium LLC. “By winning this proposal, NGN will create more than 50 jobs while vastly improving the rural broadband infrastructure of northern Georgia.”
“The federal economic stimulus program was designed to create jobs by funding much-needed infrastructure projects – and to do so with urgency,” says Chris Houle, CEO, Quantrix. “In order to meet the compressed timeline, Civitium needed a platform that delivered quick turnaround time for developing comprehensive financial planning models. We’re pleased that Quantrix Modeler enabled Civitium to develop the winning proposal for NGN, and congratulate all who will be positively impacted by this significant project.”
